1. I've download the file, now what?

The Webster's New World Mobile Dictionary comes in two versions: the Windows Installer version (wnw????????.exe), and the Cab file version (wnw????????.cab).

To install the Windows Installer version, simply run the wnw????????.exe program on your PC (with the handheld connected) and following the on-line instructions.

For the Cab file version, the file that you downloaded needs to be copied to the device for installation (do NOT open the .cab file on your PC). To install a Cab file:

  1. Select the file on your PC and type Ctrl-C (copy)
  2. Double click Mobile Device under My Computer and type Ctrl-V (paste)
  3. The file should not be on your device.
  4. Open the file explorer on the device and open the .cab file

1. Where do I enter my registration code?

The full version of Webster's will normally ask for your registration code as soon as you start the program. If you do not see this page then you do not have the full version.

2. Why is my registration code invalid?

The registration code must match your Owner name. You entered this information when purchased the software. If your code is invalid that you may have entered the wrong information, or did not enter the exact case of the letters. To get a new code, send e-mail to with your Owner name and be sure to enter the exact case of all letters.

3. How do I find my Owner name?

On Windows Smartphone you can view/edit your Owner name by selecting Settings from the Start Menu, and then selecting Owner Information. For Pocket PC users, see the following instructions for locating your User name.
